Michael Hagan

Funeral Director

Michael Hagan grew up working with his dad in the funeral home. He officially joined the business in 2010 and became a licensed funeral director in 2016 after completing his Mortuary Science degree from Northampton C.C. . Mike is a graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School class of 2008. He attended Mount St. Mary's University for two years. Upon realizing that he wanted to continue in the family business, Mike transferred to West Chester University to begin his prerequisite mortuary classes while working in his family's funeral homes.

Mike was married in February of 2018. He and his wife are residents of Media Borough and have three beautiful girls. He is a member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, as well as several local organizations throughout Media and Delaware County. In his free time, he enjoys playing in local hockey leagues, watching the Philadelphia Eagles and Union games, spending time in Ocean City, NJ, and patronizing local restaurants especially during Media's Dining Under the Stars.

Maureen Hagan Mattero

Funeral Director - Notary Public

Maureen Hagan Mattero started working with her family in 2013. She began as the office manager when Susan DeSimone retired after 25 years. Maureen returned to school to complete her degree in Mortuary Science and has become a licensed funeral director. Before joining the family business, Maureen worked for five years as an Associate Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual, and prior to that, she taught English in Granada, Spain.

She is a graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School and obtained her B.B.A. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is a notary public and licensed in the sales of PA life and health insurance. Maureen and her husband, John, are residents of Upper Providence and parishioners of Nativity B.V.M. She is a member of GFIT and she looks forward to the Media Five Mile Race every year. Maureen is the proud mother of a little girl and a baby boy.

Bill Hagan

Owner - Supervisor - Funeral Director

Bill Hagan has been the owner and operator of Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home since 1983. He is a graduate of Penncrest High School (class of 1972), Widener College, and McAllister Institute of Funeral of Funeral Service. He was born and raised on Franklin Street in Media and currently resides in Middletown Twp. with his wife, Gigi. Bill is a grandfather of nine and he couldn't be prouder.

Bill has devoted many years of service to his community. He has served as president of Media Little League and has coached at the Media Youth Center for over thirty years. He was recently inducted into the Youth Center's Hall of Fame. He is a member of Springhaven Country Club.

Bill has been working in the funeral industry for over 45 years. He bought Byrne Funeral Home in Overbrook in the late 1970s, and he and his sister own and operate Toppitzer Funeral Home, Inc. in Drexel Hill. He absolutely loves his work and never tires of helping families.
