Obituary

William Bonsall Finn of Media, PA, passed with the love and support of his family at home on October 5th, 2025.

Born to Patricia and Randy Finn at Crozer Hospital on March 30th, 1984, Bill lived his entire life in Media, where he graduated from Penncrest High School in 2002. He spent 17 years building a career he was proud of at Audi Devon, where he was one of the first service consultants in the country to receive the prestigious "Audi Elite" award. He truly enjoyed his customers and forming lasting relationships with them; he found joy in continuing to work until his treatments for Diffuse Large B-cell lymphoma prevented him from continuing.

Bill had a fierce passion for living life to the fullest and an inspired view of life. He was an avid traveler and made sure to always make time for it. He believed strongly in his Grandma's advice that it was the best education. He visited multiple countries around the world, fully immersing himself in the culture of wherever he was. A self-proclaimed "foodie," he especially enjoyed trying the local cuisine and bringing those ideas back home, where he loved to prepare elaborate dishes for his family and friends.

An avid sports fan, Bill was committed to all teams in Philadelphia. He particularly enjoyed attending Philadelphia Phillies games and held season tickets with his wife, his Dad, and his cousin, Will. He intertwined his love of family, sports, and travel by bringing his family to attend Philadelphia sports games around the country; to visit as many ballparks and stadiums as he could, he visited 17 MLB stadiums.  He was a gifted athlete and an enthusiastic softball and dodgeball teammate.

Everyone who knows Bill knows he was a "Mama's boy"; Bill was happiest spending time with his large and close-knit family. His 3-year-old son, Ryker, was the light of his life, his proudest achievement, and greatest joy. Bill had a group of childhood friends he held close to his heart and considered family.

In addition to his parents and son, he is survived by his wife Heather Slater, sisters Maggie (Eric) Newman and Ginnelle (Beth Smith), nieces Ryan, Patricia, Dakota, and Carter, numerous Aunts and Uncles, and 18 first cousins, all of whom he regarded as siblings. Also surviving is his beloved cat, Ziggy.

A visitation will be held at Rigby, Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. 4th St., Media, on Friday, October 10th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. The family asks you to wear your Philadelphia sports gear to celebrate Bill's love of sports and local teams.

Funeral mass will be at Nativity BVM church, 30 E Franklin St, Media, Saturday at 11 am. There will be no calling hours before the mass. Private interment will follow.

To commemorate Bill, in lieu of flowers, please attend a Philadelphia sports game in his honor.
