William Raymond Davidson, age 84, a resident of Glen Mills, PA, passed away at Riddle Hospital on July 4, 2025.
Son of the late Elizabeth née Steltzer and Earl Davidson, Bill spent his childhood years in Yeadon and graduated from Sharon Hill High School before obtaining his Associates Degree from Delaware Technical Institute. Bill enjoyed a nearly 40-year career with Boeing working in various managerial capacities and worked as a mechanic with Sunoco and an inspector at Harcast Casting Co.
Bill was the former husband of Patricia née Brown Iannarelli. They settled in Claymont, DE where they raised two children, Kathy and Bill. In 1989, Bill met Joyce Nagy, who would become his longtime partner until her death in 2009. Together, Bill and Joyce raised their daughter, Candace.
Bill was a loving father and was always supportive of his children's pursuits. He coached and served on the board of Claymont Little League where he served as president for 2 years and later coached and served on the board of Nordel Babe Ruth Baseball in Claymont. Bill enjoyed golfing with friends, tinkering on cars, and watching the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. He was a proud grandfather to his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In later years, Bill enjoyed companionship with his longtime partner, Joann Ewing, who preceded him in death earlier this year.
Bill is survived by his children Kathleen Davidson (partner: George Lanciault) of Wilmington, DE, William E. Davidson (Denise née Janssen) of Media, PA, and Candace Knocke Staub (Jordan) of Chester Springs, PA; his grandchildren Rhianna Ruohonen (Scot), Kyle Davidson (Gabrielle née DeMayo ), Jennifer Davidson, and Elsie Staub; and great-grandchildren Caeden and Declan Ruohonen. He is also survived by his siblings Ed Davidson of Spring Hill, FL, Betty Ann Donegan of Punta Gorda, FL, and Kathleen Farrell of Palm Coast, FL.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bill's life at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home on Monday, July 14, 2025. There will be a calling from 10-11 am followed by a memorial service at 11 am.
Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Animal Shelter , 555 Sandy Bank Rd. Media, PA 19063.
The family's floral arrangements will be ordered from Kenny's Flower Shoppe in Media.
