Obituary

To God Be All Glory!

We thank God for the life of Walter Thomas "Tom" Windle, age 90, of Springfield, PA, who returned to his Savior on February 19, 2023, after a brief illness. Tom is fondly missed by his daughters, Wendy (Keith) and Laurie (Dan), 6 grandchildren, Jenna (Rob), Jeff (Jessica), Kohlton, Micah, Erica and Moriah, and 8 great-grandchildren, (Kaitlin, Jack, Gus, Nora, Bo, Caleb, Rosalee and Louie). He was pre-deceased by his wife of 65 years, Lee, in 2022. Tom loved Jesus and his family deeply and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Tom and Lee loved attending his family's many soccer, football, field hockey, basketball, baseball and lacrosse games and concerts. As he became homebound, he would even follow games on the iPad with Lee. Tom always supported his family and friends. He took great pride in building his family room from scratch, "with a hammer, some nails, and an instruction book." He went to be with Jesus in that very room, but now we rejoice for him and his new room in Heaven.

Tom graduated from Upper Darby High School and Drexel University, where he attended on a football scholarship. He was a branch manager for Goodall Rubber Company for 41 years. Tom was also active in his church, serving on the Finance and Property committees, on the Wednesday Willing Workers team, and as an usher. He was a huge Phillies and Eagles fan, and was blessed to see them in the World Series and Super Bowl this year.

Tom will be sorely missed, but he was a baptized believer, and because of that, he loved those around him. His family hopes to carry on his legacy of faith, hope and love.
