Sharlene Ann Neelan, 85, of Springfield, Pa. passed away peacefully, early morning on January 4th, 2025. She endured many courageous years with Alzheimer's disease, and she survived the COVID pandemic. She was a true fighter to the end! The daughter of the late John and Frances Precopia of Bridgeville Pa. Sharlene was the loving wife of the late Leo Jerome Neelan with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. She was the beloved mother of Susan Loyola (DH-David MD), Joyce Volpe (Mark), Margaret McGuckin (Kevin), and Richard Neelan (Lauren). She has 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Sharlene's life was centered around her commitment to family, community service and church. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Morton. She found joy in the Garden Club, Bowling League, the Women's Club of Springfield and Silver Sneakers. Sharlene enjoyed the "hideaway" vacation home in Ocean City, Maryland and spent quiet moments reading, tending to her garden and going on walks. Later in life, Sharlene found support at "The Surrey Senior Center" in Media, Pa. She loved socializing and having a good time. She also had fun celebrating and dancing at many family events. Mostly, Sharlene loved spending time with her cherished family.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd. Media, on Wednesday, January 8th, at 10 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Church Cemetery.
