Sarah E.
Casar
Jan 12, 1959 — Jan 10, 2024
Sarah E. Casar, 64, recently of Glen Mills, PA, died peacefully on January 10, 2024, two days before her 65th birthday. After a five-year battle with ovarian cancer, Sarah passed in the comfort of home surrounded by her loving family.
Sarah fought hard. She worked hard. She loved hard. A mother of three, Sarah dedicated her life to her family. She considered becoming a Nana her life's highest achievement. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and carried her through recent years. She will be watching over her family as her fourth grandchild is born in the upcoming weeks.
Born and raised in Darby, Sarah was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School. She worked as a medical biller with Mercy Health System for over 20 years and as a banquet captain with Springfield Country Club for 18 years. She volunteered with Collingdale Athletic Club and always supported her children throughout their various endeavors. Sarah had a warmth and authenticity about her. She truly cared for people and exuded kindness and empathy to everyone she encountered.
Sarah is survived by her children Dana O'Sullivan (Brendan) of Newtown Square, Jenna Link (Joseph) of Springfield, and Daniel Trushkov (Elizabeth) of Astoria, NY and her grandchildren Ciara, Ryan & Eamon O'Sullivan and Baby Link (due in February). She is also survived by her siblings Dianne Scott of Lee, NH, Theresa Murphy of Lansdowne, and Veronica DeJoseph of Turnersville, NJ along with her former husband, Michael Casar, and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 18th at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd. Media, PA. There will be a visitation in the church from 9:30-11:30 am followed by Mass at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sarah's name to the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
