Devoted wife, mother and preschool teacher.

Sally Green, 59, of Boothwyn, Upper Chichester, a gentle soul who was devoted to her family, died Dec. 29, 2021, at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Chester on Aug. 2, 1962, she was the daughter of Cresson R. Green and Maddie Green Di Bonaventura. She grew up in Chester County and graduated from Oxford High School.
She married Howard H. Green Sr. in 1981 and for many years they enjoyed the simplicity of a farm-like lifestyle living on a picturesque hill on the Elwyn campus in Middletown Township. She enjoyed gardening and preserving her fruits and vegetables.
Mrs. Green worked as a pre-school teacher for 33 years, first at Christ Church in Media, for 10 years at Elwyn's Development Center, Middletown, and then at Lightbridge Academy in Gamet Valley. Her favorite activity was making creative crafts with her students.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband of 40 years, Howard Sr., her son, Howard Green Jr. and his partner Natalie Garland of Upper Chichester, and three sisters, Georgianna "Puddy" Stoker of West Grove, Christine McCorkle of Arizona and Pat Rumford of Florida.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Mrs. Green's name can be made to Delaware County Special Olympics, PO Box 1202, Havertown, PA 19083.
