Ronald L. Gatto, a longtime resident of Media, PA, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023. He was 82 years old. Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Barbara Thompson. He was a dedicated educator, a lifelong learner, and a lover of art and horticulture.

Ron was born and raised in Philadelphia. He obtained his Masters in Education from Temple University and enjoyed a long career as a junior high teacher with William Penn School District. He dedicated many hours to Penn State Extension Service, Brandywine Art Museum Gardens, Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College and Jenkins Aboretum.

He had a great appreciation for classical music, art and literature. Ron played several stringed instruments and was a wonderful painter and sculptor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association ( act.alz.org ) or CAD Foundation ( coldagglutinindisease.org ).
