Obituary

FELLMAN, SR., Ronald G. , an avid fisherman, painter, shortwave radio operator, international traveler, and devoted family man, died on November 25, 2022.  He was 90 years old.  Ron was a proud Navy veteran, serving as a submariner on the USS Sea Robin during the Korean War. He and his beloved wife, Susie, were residents of Upper Providence for nearly 60 years.

Born in West Philadelphia, Ron moved to Upland at age 11 where he spent much of his youth hunting, fishing, and raising beagles. He was a graduate of Eddystone High School.

Ron began his career working as a draftsman at Sun Ship by day and attending night school at Villanova University on the GI bill, all while raising the first 3 of his 5 children with Susie.  Fifty years later he retired from Jacobs Engineering as a Professional Engineer, licensed in 11 states, managing international pharmaceutical design and construction projects.  In retirement Ron could be found surf fishing at the Wildwood shore where he treasured summers with his family.

Ron is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ann Marie "Susie" Fellman (née Munce); children Lea, Patricia, Ron (wife Judy), and Christian; 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Russell Fellman.

Ron was comforted by his faith to know that he would be reunited with his cherished daughter, Melissa Reineck, and with his parents, Russell and Dorothea (née McCartney), sister Lois Rumbold and brother Stewart.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 2nd at St. Mary Magdalen Church where Mr. Fellman served Eucharistic Adoration in the chapel for many years and was an usher for over 40 years.  Friends and family are invited to call from 10-11 am. Mass will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Media.
