Ronald C. Birney, 68, (SOB) a resident of Brookhaven, PA.

Ronnie passed away on Friday, August 8th 2025 at Riddle Hospital following a short illness. A lifetime resident of Delaware County, Ronnie was a staunch Republican and supporter of law enforcement. He graduated from Penncrest HS in 1975. He was always smiling and ready to help out or have a few Coors lights. The life of the party, Ronnie was a diehard Southern Rock fan. He loved to talk about his times on the Lynyrd Skynyrd Cruise and his times backstage with Jim Dandy and Black Oak Arkansas. He was a life long Pro Wrestling and Philadelphia sports fan, except unfortunately a Pittsburgh Steelers fan who he loved to tell you about their 6 Super Bowl victories. He was an accomplished softball player with Bonnie Ds for many years.

Ron worked for many years with the Rose Tree Media School District in maintenance. He was also employed as a truck driver for various vending companies. Following his retirement he opened a successful landscaping business which he ran until his final retirement.

Predeceased by his parents, Kenneth Sr and Dorothy Birney, his brothers Kenneth Jr. and Larry. He is survived by a sister, Donna of Florida, His dear goddaughter, Amy Marie Gordy, Dear friend, Colleen White, and his neighbors, Rob and Wendy Brown, and countless family and friends throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. A private family funeral will be held in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania at the yearly family reunion. He will be missed by all who knew him but will never be forgotten.
