Roger L. Warmerdam, age 85, a resident of Plush Mills in Wallingford died peacefully at home on December 30, 2023. He and his beloved wife of 64 years, Virginia "Ginny" née Lafferty, were longtime residents of Rutledge before moving to Plush Mills sixteen years ago.

The son of the late L. Alfred Warmerdam and Louise née Rogers, Roger spent his childhood years in the Germantown section of Philadelphia where he graduated from Germantown High School and later LaSalle College. Roger served in the US Navy from 1956-1959 and later began his career as an engineer. Roger had a love for carpentry and enjoyed working on his home. He and Ginny raised six wonderful children and were blessed with 17 grandchildren who meant the world to him.

Roger is survived by his wife, Ginny, and children Tina Wilhelmsen (Tom) of Wallingford, Lynne Harlow (Bob) of Louisville, CO, Clair Rohrer (Dean) of Newtown Square, RuthAnne Raymond (Steve) of Centennial, CO, Nancy Hotham (Tor) of Wallingford, and Betsy Glassford (Scott) of Wallingford. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Steven, Dan, & Kirsten Wilhelmsen, Kristina & Tom Harlow, Jane & Greta Rohrer, Jenna (Adam Naylor), Callie, Annie, & Katherine Raymond, Will, Harrison, & Margot Hotham, and Morgan, Tyler, & Carly Glassford.

Roger's memorial service will be celebrated on January 12, 2024 at 11am at Tree of Life Church in Springfield, PA.  Visitation with family will begin at 10am and again immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to Our Community Cup Coffeehouse (OCCC-RW in memo) disabilities ministries through the Tree of Life Church .
