Robert Edward Thomas, or Bob as he was known to friends and family, 76, of Swarthmore, PA passed away on January 20, 2021 from a stroke at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

Bob was born on August 18, 1944 to Florence and Robert Thomas in Buffalo, New York. After graduating from Bishop Timon High School in 1962, he went on to study Political Science at Canisius College, graduating with a B.S.  and went on to enjoy a successful 50-year career in  Men's Apparel. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed running, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Bob was a kind and loving husband to his wife, Nancy as well as an adoring father to his two daughters Jennifer Andrew and Katharine Batista. He was a doting grandfather to his four grandchildren, Elliot, Jack and Natalie Andrew and Alexander Batista, and would have been to a fifth on the way. Bob was a big brother to siblings Gail, Patty, Sandy, Wayne and Dale.

He was known for his infectious joyous spirit, positive outlook, and love of life. He lived like he loved, with all his heart. He lived each day with levity and a courageous spirit, and remained forever young until his last days. Aside from being survived by his wife, two children, four grandchildren, and five siblings Bob also leaves behind two sons-in-law, David Andrew and Phillip Batista. He will be deeply missed.

A small service was held at Swarthmore Presbyterian on January 30, 2021. Those who wish to honor his spirit are encouraged to make donations to the American Stroke Association.
