Robert William Munyon III, age 84, died peacefully on October 2, 2026. He was a recent resident of Sunrise of Granite Run in Media, PA and was a former longtime resident of Wilmington, DE.

Robert was the beloved husband of Joy Munyon with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. Together they raised three children, Valerie, Robert and Michele. Robert was known as Poppy to his loving grandchildren, Sam, Jackson, Dane, Reid, and Kaia. He loved spending time with them.

Born in Paulsboro, NJ, Robert was a graduate of Paulsboro High School. He made a living with DeMoulin in uniform sales where he specialized in marching band uniforms. Robert enjoyed golf and fishing and was a big fan of the Phillies, Eagles and University of Delaware football.

Robert is survived by his wife, Joy Munyon (née Hughes); children Valerie Lewis of Brambleton, VA, Robert Munyon (Judy) of Burlingame, CA, and Michele Johnson of Glen Mills, PA; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Munyon of Woodstown, NJ; his sister-in-law Tomi Morris; and his nephew Matthew Morris
