Robert DiMaio, age 76, of Brookhaven, passed away at Riddle Hospital on December 23, 2023. An adoring husband, father and grandfather, Robert's family will always remember his huge heart and wonderful sense of humor.

Robert was born in Chester to the late Louis and Catherine DiMaio.  One of three boys, Robert and his brothers spent their childhood years in Chester, graduating from Chester High School.  As a young man, Robert developed a passion for playing softball and a love for practical jokes. He was the ultimate jokester.  If you were missing your phone, shoes, etc., you always knew Robert was the culprit.  He had a long career spanning more than three decades with Crozer Chester Medical Center.

Robert loved his family and extended family more than life itself.  He enjoyed family vacations and hanging out at the pool.  He always looked forward to weekend dinner plans with family and friends and loved being with his grand-dog, Roscoe, another great love of his life. Everyone who knew Robert has their own funny story to tell, and the DiMaio family encourages you to keep telling them.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Louis DiMaio.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucille (née Paolucci), his son Anthony (Audra) of Brookhaven, and three grandchildren Jacey, Alexis, and Olivia.  He is also survived by his brother Ronald (the late Gail) of Townsend, DE, along with many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Robert's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 2nd at St. John Chrysostom Church, 617 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086. There will be a calling in the church from 10-11 am. Mass will begin at 11 am. Burial at a future date will be private.
