Mr. Hosler was born to William and Ruth (nee Zwemer) Hosler in Cleveland, OH in 1927.  He studied Chemical Engineering at Case Western Reserve and obtained his PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.  His published paper from his PhD on penicillin is still quoted today.  Peter valued education and considered it a lifelong endeavor volunteering his time with Tau Ki Sigma and Tau Beta Pi (Chemical & Engineering fraternities).

Mr. Hosler married his late wife, Marie, in 1948.  They lived briefly in Indianapolis before moving to Wallingford, PA where they'd spend the next 55 years. Together they raised 5 children. Marie predeceased him in 2014 after 66 years of marriage. He later met and married his wife, Vera Burlew Hosler, in 2017, and they enjoyed 5 wonderful years together.
