Peter Sears Brooks of Media, Pennsylvania died on Friday February 27, 2026, at 77 years of age.  He was born on June 5, 1948, in Boston, Massachusetts to Albert and Jane Brooks.  Peter grew up in Mariemont, Ohio with his parents and sister Ellen.  He graduated from Amherst College in 1970 and Harvard Business School in 1974.  Peter was a long-time employee of Rohm & Haas Company in financial management.  He retired in 2005.

Peter was a member of the Amherst College Glee Club and was active in the Amherst College alumni community.  He was a coach of youth baseball and soccer teams in Media and was active on the board of Broomall's Lake Country Club.

Peter was mindful of the needs of others and later in life made charity a central cause. Peter's family, classmates, colleagues, traveling companions, park-walkers and fellow golfers knew him for his steadfast integrity, unpretentious intelligence, and calm manner.  These all hid a mischievous wit, which was announced by a wry glint in his eye.  Peter is loved and will be greatly missed.  He is survived by his wife Susan, his two sons Christopher and Jonathan, and his grandchildren Michael and Elizabeth.
