Pauline
Kelton
d. Feb 26, 2020
Pauline Kelton, age 82, of Marlton, NJ passed away on February 26, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Kelton and daughter of the late Pauline and Thomas Kelly.
Pauline grew up in the Mayfair section of NE Philadelphia. She graduated from St. Hubert's High School in 1955 where she made many loyal and life long friends in her sorority. Upon graduation she worked at the Philadelphia Customs House until her marriage to Charlie, the love of her life, in 1962. She was a dedicated Catholic and through the years was a long-time parishioner of both St Joan of Arc Church in Marlton and St. Thomas More in Cherry Hill. She cantored and sang in the choirs there for many years,
Pauline was passionate about music and passed this on to her family. Her greatest happiness was being with her children and grandchildren; listening to their musical performances and watching them play sports. She was always their biggest and proudest fan. Pauline was a proud and patriotic American and enjoyed sharing her ideas about politics with her friends and family. She loved traveling to the mountains, and taking annual trips to Virginia to see the Statler Brothers country music concerts on the Fourth of July. She cherished holiday gatherings with both her brothers and sisters and Charlie's siblings where there was always music and laughter. She loved taking family trips to Ocean City, NJ and Hilton Head, SC. She also enjoyed day trips to Atlantic City with Charlie. Pauline was a big fan of the Philadelphia Mummers, and could strut with the best of them each New Year's Day. Pauline will be forever remembered by those who knew her best as a sweet, kind, funny, generous and gentle woman.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, beloved granddaughter, Caroline, and brothers, Thomas Kelly O.F.M. and Joseph Kelly.
