Paul Packard Porter III, of Media PA, died on November 7 at home after bravely living with cancer. He is survived by wife Melissa, daughters Sam and Kelsey, son-in-law Andrew, and grandchildren Hannah and Nathan, all of Delaware County, PA. He is also survived by his sister Paige of Fairfax, VA and her family. He is predeceased by mother Louise, father Paul, and sister Anne.

He is a graduate of Nether Providence High School, University of Delaware, and Widener University. Paul spent most of his career putting his MBA to use at companies like Vanguard; he also earned his CFP during his time there. More formative early career experiences included working at Elwyn Institute, a residential facility for kids with special education needs, and as a golf pro at Radnor Valley Country Club.

Paul took joy in life's simple pleasures and was a great lover of sports, music, and nature. He could be found strolling Tyler Arboretum; motoring around Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, DE on his electric bike; stargazing; shooting hoops; playing the drums; or listening to the ocean. He usually had a soda in hand and often a twinkle of mischief in his eye.

He loved Sam and Kelsey endlessly and although it was cut short, he relished his role of Pop Pop to Hannah and Nathan. His family was the great joy of his life. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. May he rest in peace.
