Obituary

Patricia Ann Stokes, age 66, a lifelong resident of Media, passed away on February 2, 2021.

A loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Patty was born in Media on May 1, 1954.  She attended Nativity BVM and was a graduate of Penncrest High School (Class of 1972).  Patty worked for nearly twenty years with the Media Federal Savings & Loan, first as an executive secretary before becoming the Branch Manager.  She also worked in Penncrest Highschool's guidance department as a secretary for over twenty years.

Patty had a strong Catholic faith and regularly attended mass at Nativity.  She enjoyed reading, photography, traveling, and crocheting blankets.  She was a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Flyers and she had a special love for huskies and penguins. Patty always made sure to have a fresh manicure and pedicure.  She adored spending time with her family who will miss her deeply.

Patty is survived by her sister, Donna Batipps (Ricardo) of Media; half-sister, Barbara Saitto (Craig) of Media; nieces and nephews Jessica Lees (Nick Monreal), Becky Bolton, William Lees (Betsy), Edward McCabe Jr. (June), Timothy McCabe (Nicole Dunn), Tracy McCabe (Edward Smith, Jr.), Catlin Clifton (Taylor), Callie McCabe (Jeremiah Green); great-nieces and nephews Sadie Frame; Ben Belle & Josh Lees; EJ (III), Ella & Arya McCabe; Kyla McCabe Tanner & Jordin Smith; Taylor (Jr.), Lenna, Kennedy & Stella Clifton; Jeremiah (Jr.) & Cameron Green.  She is also survived by her aunts Margaret Hoopes, Anne Smith, Grace Hatton & Edith Horan; numerous cousins; her godson, Jim Ronan; and her best friend of 42 years, Jeanie Boyer.

Friends may call on Wednesday evening at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home from 5-7:00 pm and Thursday morning at Nativity BVM Church from 9:30-10:30 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am and burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choosing.
