Norman C.
Barnes
Sep 28, 1970 — Apr 30, 2020
Norman C. Barnes, age 49, a resident of Drexel Hill, PA, died suddenly on April 30, 2020. Norman, known by family and friends as "Noodle", was born and raised in Drexel Hill and graduated from Upper Darby High School. Upon graduation he began his apprenticeship with the Carpenters' Union and worked for Union 845 for over 20 years. He ultimately started his own company, All You Need Contractors, which he ran for 15 years.
Family was everything to Noodle. He was a loving husband, an adoring father, a loyal son and brother, and recently became a proud grandpop. Friends knew the moment they became close with Norman, he considered them family. Norman was a diehard Eagles fan and he also loved the Tennessee Titans. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, horse shoes, and he was the team captain of his championship dart team. Everything Norman did, he did with all of his heart. His family will miss his master soup making skills and his love for the holidays. Norman loved a good haunted house and couldn't help but go over the top for Christmas every year. He looked forward to summer days spent in Wildwood and "Home Sweet Home" was his personal anthem.
Norman was an absolute madman with contagious energy and was loved by all who knew him.
Norman is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth A. Barnes (née Crawford), four children Rebecca C. Barnes (Mike), Robert E. Burns, Matthew C. Barnes, and Colin J. Barnes, and a granddaughter, Caroline E. Barnes all of Drexel Hill. He is also survived by his parents, Norman C. Barnes, Sr. and Sharon M. O'Hagan, his aunt, Sr. Kathleen M. O'Hagan SND and his brother, Patrick M. Barnes of Glen Mills, PA.
Due to the public health crisis, funeral services will be held privately at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "Big Laurel Learning Center" PO Box 266 Kermit, WV 25674 or online at www.biglaurel.org .
