Naomi Ruth Kaneda, age 74, of Hollywood California, passed away on September 15, 2026.

She was born on April 24, 1952 in Upland PA, to George and Marina Kaneda.

Naomi grew up in the Media, PA area and attended Penncrest High School (Class of 1970) where she was a feature baton twirler, gymnast, and member of the National Honor Society. After high school she enrolled at Franklin & Marshall College as one of the first female co-eds and later attended Harvard University. Her foreign language skills got her an interview with Pan Am Airlines which led to a long career as a flight attendant on international flights. During this time, she also freelanced as a fashion model, singer, actor, and make-up artist. Her career with Pan Am led to homes in Boston, Honolulu, and Los Angeles. Naomi eventually entered the business world as a mortgage broker providing loans to homebuyers in the Los Angeles area. However, the role she cherished most in life was that of a proud mother to her beloved daughter as well as to her dogs Bodhi and Simon. Naomi will be fondly remembered for her elegance, fashion sense, talent, devotion to family, and love for everyone in her world. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Natasha Gala Marina Kaneda, siblings Robert Kaneda, (Betsy) of Harrisburg, PA, Michael Kaneda, (Michel) of Hilo Hawaii, Thomas Kaneda (Barbara) of Media PA, Mary Massaro of Broomall, PA, Marisa Kaneda of Media PA, Dina Olsen of Coral Gables, FL and Susan Robins (Tim Hunt) of Chesterfield, SC and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband John Goodsall, parents George and Marina Kaneda, and stepmother Anna Maria Kaneda.

A memorial service will be held at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. 4th St., Media PA on October 16, 2026 at 10:00 o’clock AM. (www.haganfuneralhome.com)
