Nancy Geist

September 9, 1931 – January 12, 2021

Nancy Geist died on January 12, 2021, at the age of 89. Born Nancy Helen Johnson in Platea, PA, she lived in Delaware County for 22 years after which she moved to New Garden Township, Chester County where she resided for more than 40 years before moving to Lima Estates in Media, PA.

Nancy was a dedicated teacher for the Upper Darby School District for 30+ years. Upon retirement, she traveled extensively, going to Europe, the Middle East, Central America, and China. She was active in several volunteer organizations, including the New Garden Township Historical Society. She loved music, theater, history, gardening, and most importantly beekeeping.

Nancy is survived by her children Karen Holm and Jeffrey Geist, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
