Michael Thomas Cross, Sr., age 72, passed away peacefully at Crozer Chester Medical Center on January 28, 2024 after a lengthy illness.  A beloved father, brother and friend, Michael was a lifetime resident of the Media area.

He was one of eight children born to the late Donald E. and Lois Cross. Michael was born in 1951 along with his twin brother, Daniel. They were raised on their family's farm in Middletown Twp. Michael graduated from Penncrest High School in 1969 and served in the US Coast Coard from 1971 through 1976.  He worked as a welder with his family's business, F.B. Cross & Son Inc., and was a self-employed landscaper.  He found a lot of enjoyment watching TV shows and old movies.  He loved sports, especially Nascar.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hallier Cross, and his sister, Meg Cross. He is survived by his son, Michael T. Cross Jr.; Linda's son, Michael Hallier; siblings Martha Grieco of Whitefish, MT, Dan Cross of Media, Jeffrey Cross of Naples, FL, Ann Campbell of Dagsboro, DE, Beth Cross of San Mateo, CA & David Cross of Middletown Twp, along with his former spouse, Donna Lindstrom Cross.

Friends and family are invited to Michael's memorial service at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home at 11 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2024. There will be a visitation from 10-11 AM.  Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery will be private.
