Michael Armand Cardoso
July 17, 1962 – October 27, 2026
Michael Armand Cardoso, age 64, of Media, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Born on July 17, 1962, in Upland, Pennsylvania, Michael was the beloved son of the late Armand Cardoso and Mary M. Patrick (Cardoso) née Marryott.
Michael was an outgoing, kindhearted man whose warmth and friendly nature were among his most endearing qualities. His genuine kindness left a lasting impression on those who knew him. A hardworking and talented house painter, Michael took great pride in his craft. With a keen eye for detail, he brought skill, creativity, and dedication to his work. He believed in the value of an honest day's work and found satisfaction in using his talents to transform and beautify the homes of others.
Outside of work, Michael had a deep appreciation for classic American muscle cars and motorcycles. He was the proud owner of a 1973 Chevrolet Camaro and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, reflecting his love for the timeless style, power, and character of these American classics.
Michael also found great enjoyment in life's simpler pleasures. He loved fishing, antiquing, and exploring flea markets in search of interesting finds and hidden treasures. He especially enjoyed shopping at Booth's Corner Farmers Market in Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, and the Westtown Amish Market in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Whether browsing the markets, searching for an antique with character, or finding an unexpected bargain, Michael appreciated the excitement of the hunt and the simple pleasure of discovering something special.
Michael had a special love for animals, particularly dogs and cats, and also took pleasure in caring for his koi pond and fish, a hobby that brought him peace and enjoyment.
Above all, Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, outgoing spirit, creativity, and the many ways he touched the lives of those around him.
Michael is survived by his two sons, Michael E. Cardoso (Sarah) and Jesse A. Cardoso; his five beloved grandchildren, Atticus, Charlotte, Jackson, Landon, and Colton; his older brother, Donald S. Waite; and his younger sister, Michelle L. Risnychok (Robert). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Leigh Ann, Kelly, Taylor, and Erik.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Armand Cardoso and Mary M. Patrick (Cardoso) née Marryott; his sister-in-law, Christine Waite, wife of his brother Donald; and his nephew, Daniel.
Michael's passing leaves a profound sadness in the hearts of his family and friends, but also a lifetime of memories to cherish. His warmth, kindness, and appreciation for the things he loved will continue to be remembered by those fortunate enough to have shared in his life.
Though he is no longer with us, Michael's spirit lives on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held close in the hearts of those who loved him.
