Mary Ann Stanley (nee McDonnell), age 76, a lifetime resident of Norristown, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020.  A devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Mary Ann leaves behind her loving family and friends who will miss her dearly.  Born to the late William and Margaret (nee Detwiler) McDonnell, Mary Ann attended St. Francis of Assisi school in Norristown and graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School in 1962.

Ms. Stanley worked as a bookkeeper for Westover Companies for over 35 years. Each day was a blessing, because she truly enjoyed her work and her coworkers.

Faith and family were everything to Mary Ann.  A devout Catholic and lifetime parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi, Mary Ann shared her profound faith with her family.  Every spare minute was dedicated to helping the family she loved so much.  Mary Ann was proud of her Irish heritage and she was a Dean Martin fan.

Ms. Stanley is the mother of Thomas McFadden, John Stanley, and the late Ann Veronica McFadden.  She leaves behind three grandchildren Lauren, Sean and Michael, along with her brother, William McDonnell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown on Friday, June 26, 2020.  Friends may call from 10 - 11 am in church. Mass will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park.
