Mary S.
Dourdoufis
d. Feb 25, 2025
Mary S. Dourdoufis, age 86, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Don Dourdoufis, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. A devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, Mary's presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Born and raised in Philadelphia to the late Anthony and Jennie (née Siciliano) Alessandroni, Mary was a graduate of West Catholic High School. She and Don eventually settled in Drexel Hill, where they built a loving home and spent many cherished years together.
Mary took great pride in her role as a homemaker, caring for her family with love and dedication. She was passionate about cooking and baking, always filling her home with warmth and delicious aromas. A social butterfly, Mary enjoyed keeping up with current events, following politics, and making frequent visits to her hairdresser. Above all, her life was centered around her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Mary was known for her wisdom and practical advice—whether it was the best way to tackle a tough stain, a home remedy, or simply how to approach life's challenges. Her family often said, "When in doubt, ask Mary," because she always had the right answer or knew just who to call.
Mary had a deep love for animals and enjoyed watching animal welfare videos. She was passionate about supporting these causes and frequently made donations to organizations dedicated to animal care and protection.
She is survived by her children: Dennis Carr (Cheryl) of Sellersville, PA; Michael Dourdoufis of Drexel Hill, PA; Peter Dourdoufis (Johnna) of Stratham, NH; Paul Dourdoufis of Lansdowne, PA; and Gina Pinsky (Jon) of Cherry Hill, NJ. She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren: Emily, Brennan, Rachel, Madison, Matthew, Allison and Brielle. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Peter Alessandroni, Nora Anicola, and Pasquale Alessandroni.
Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.
