Mark Anthony Calabrese, 64, of Media, PA, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania surrounded by family after a quick, tough battle with cancer.

Mark was born on January 10, 1962, in Upper Darby, to the late Ronald Calabrese Sr.  and Anna Marie Calabrese (Franchi). A dedicated and hardworking man, he spent more than 35 years in the construction industry, beginning his career working alongside his father, later building his own path in the field, and eventually serving as a respected project manager. Beyond his work, Mark had a deep love for rugby and played the sport for many years, a passion that brought him great joy and lifelong friendships.

Those who knew Mark will always remember his humor, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. He had a rare gift for making people laugh and instantly making any room feel brighter simply by being in it. Mark had a heart of gold and was the kind of person who would do anything for anybody, never hesitating to help those he cared for. His greatest joy in life was the love he shared with his family and friends, who meant everything to him.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Calabrese Sr.

He is survived by his loving mother, AnnaMarie Calabrese; his devoted siblings, Ronald Calabrese Jr. (Marianne), Lisa Pulcher (Amos), Robert Calabrese; his cherished nieces, Shannan McConnell, Danica Pulcher, Andrea Pulcher, Kyla Calabrese; his nephew, Robert Calabrese Jr.; and beloved great niece, Ella Mitchell.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rigby Harting & Hagan funeral home, located at 15 E Fourth St., Media, PA 19063.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM at Nativity BVM, located at 30 E Franklin St., Media PA 19063.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Media Rugby Football Club, a cause close to Mark's heart.
