Marjorie McNelis, age 67, of Media, PA, passed away suddenly on February 24, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  The daughter of Marcellus LaFleur, Marjorie was born in Secane, PA and was a graduate of Upper Darby High School.  She worked for many years in the insurance industry at John Hancock and as a payroll clerk with Chempak.

Marjorie was the beloved wife of Stephen McNelis with whom she shared three decades of marriage.  They settled on a quiet street where they raised their daughters and enjoyed the simple things in life.  Marjorie doted on her furbabies, enjoyed working in the garden, and looked forward to watching her favorite reality tv shows.  She spent many wonderful summers with her family in Bethany Beach, DE and was known for her delicious Christmas cookies.

In addition to her husband, Marjorie is survived by her daughter Samantha McNelis (Phillip Blair) of Media; her step-daughters Jessica DiStefano (Joseph) of Dover, DE and Kelly McNelis of Wayne; and six wonderful grandchildren.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Marjorie's life on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home.  There will be a visitation from 10-11am followed by her memorial service at 11am.

In lieu of flowers and in celebration of Marjorie's love for animals, memorial contributions to Providence Animal Center (providenceac.org) would be greatly appreciated.
