Marie T. O'Mara, 86, of Wallingford, PA passed away on January 9, 2021 at Riddle Hospital in Media, PA from the effects of COVID-19.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Nativity BVM Church in Media, PA. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, there will be no viewing, and attendance at the Mass will be limited to immediate family members. A link to the livestreamed Mass can be found below. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Media, PA.  Arrangements are under the direction of Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA 19063.

Marie was born on December 24, 1934, on Staten Island, NY.  She graduated from Notre Dame College for Women (now the Staten Island campus of St. John's University) and from Rutgers University in N.J. with a master's degree in Library Science. Upon graduation, she started her career with the U.S. Department of Defense as a civilian employee where she worked for over 30 years until her retirement.  During that time frame, Marie was stationed in various military bases and installations in the United States, and in France and Germany.  Upon retirement, Marie moved to PA to be near her brother and his family.  She eventually settled in Plush Mills Senior Living in Wallingford, PA.

Predeceased by her parents, Edward Romaine and Mary Catherine (Daly) and her brother Edward M. O'Mara. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Daniel J. and Peggy O'Mara of Rose Valley, PA as well as 6 nieces and nephews, 12 grand nieces and nephews, and 3 great grandnieces.
