Marian
Maya
d. Mar 9, 2025
Our beloved mother Marian E. Maya passed away March 09, 2025 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital due to on going illnesses at the age of 68 years old. Marian was born on December 03, 1956 by her loving mother Nellie E. Burke. Majority of her life she lived in Philly and eventually moved to Delaware County Pa.
Marian was a very outgoing person. She loved her family and friends, always being there as a support system for everyone she knew. Our mother has many hobbies and dreams, two of which was to be a signer and a veterinarian. In her early 20s she loved to sing on stage, specifically the song "Paper Tiger" by Sue Thompson, and almost landed a record deal. There wasn't ever a time a song would come on the radio and she wouldn't get up to dance and sing. That was always true about her to the very end. Without hesitation she gladly dedicated her life to be a full time mother to her three daughters that she loved dearly. Later in life she decided to start her own ceramic business where she made the most beautiful pottery. She gained the name "Angel Lady" since she became well known for making so many angelic angels. Our beloved mother left a imprint on the world and everyone's heart she met.
Marian survived by her three daughters Dawn Maya, Christine Ryan (Jeremy), Alicia Grassi (Joe), and also by her five grandchildren Nina Petite (Jonathan), Justine Killinen (Hunter), Andrea Ryan, Sofia Ryan, Lillian Grassi and of course her great granddaughter Esmae Petite and one other great grandchild on the way.
We as a family are processing privately and preparing for a memorial service in the near future. Our mother was cremated and her remains will be properly distributed amongst her children.
Our dearest mother, may you rest in peace and know you will be forever loved and deeply missed.
