Louise (Shug) Virginia Pannell, age 67, of Clifton Heights, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023.  She was born October 10, 1955 in Wilmington, DE to the late Joseph William Pannell and Louise Yola Virginia (Cotta) Pannell.

Her mother began calling her Sugar as a baby because of her sweet smile. Sugar became Shug and her sweet smile became a laugh that could make the saddest of hearts smile.

There wasn't a machine or gadget that she could not fix or a dying plant that she could not love back to life.  Some would say that she lived in her own world, but if you were lucky enough to experience it then you would know that it was a world where there was always time to be under a tree with a book, lost in a garden of tomatoes, free as the wind on a Harley down a country road, or simply sitting silently by the sea . . .

Shug is survived by her sister, Judith A. Hassinger, her brothers, Michael J. Pannell, John A. Pannell, and was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick W. Pannell, Sr.

She is dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
