Louis Eugene Bourquin, Jr. 68

Louis Eugene Bourquin Jr., of Aston, passed way suddenly on Wednesday June 5, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born in Swarthmore to Louis Eugene Bourquin Sr. and the late Margaret Bourquin. He was a graduate of Ridley High School class of 1974. Lou was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Lou grew up in Swarthmore and learned how to fix anything with ease. During his adolescence, he loved fast cars, trucks and trains. He knew every aspect of the mechanism of any engine. His love for trains gave him the opportunity to work on trains. He worked for Septa Railroad Division as a Master Train mechanic for 42 years before retiring. He had also worked for Bette's Bounces and Carnival Attractions which he enjoyed immensely.  Lou always went out of his way to help others. Lou enjoyed traveling, vacationing and boating with his family and friends. He had a passion for fishing.

Lou is survived by his wife Jean Bourquin (Scala) of Aston, daughter Jennifer Walsh (Dan), son Brian Bourquin; three grandchildren Grace, Finnley and Danny Walsh; grand dog Mica; father Louis Eugene Bourquin Sr. (Kathy); siblings Debbie Jowanna (Jonathan) and Margaret "Cookie" Scarcelli (John), Christopher, Tommy (Meghan), Katie (Ariel) Bourquin, and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Lou is predeceased by his brother Larry Bourquin (Dina).

Friends and family are invited to Lou's Memorial Service on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 East Fourth Street Media, PA 19063. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Private burial.
