On the morning of December 28, 2025, Leticia "Tish" Smith, was leaving the house to volunteer at our local cat shelter, Forgotten Cats, like she did every Sunday. Tragically and suddenly, she experienced a heart attack that took her from us too soon. She was 56 years young and only a week and a half away from her 57th birthday.

She was born in 1969 to Sara Ann Hook and adopted and raised lovingly by Alfonso and Maryann Cesarone shortly after. While growing up she fell in love with the band The Grateful Dead and went to all their concerts when they came around.

She leaves behind her husband, James Smith Jr., her two children, Heather R. and Alec J., and her four grandchildren Ayden J., Aryanna B., Asher R., and Athena R. Earlier in 2025, she discovered her long lost sister, Mandy W., thanks to Ancestry DNA and was so excited to meet her and her own family and become a part of her life.

Those who knew her knew what a caring and hardworking woman she was. Between working two jobs and volunteering at her favorite cat shelter, she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She had an incredible love for animals, especially cats, and of course, all Philly sports teams. She will be deeply missed by all.

Services for Leticia will take place at a later date not yet determined by her family.
