Obituary

Leonard Thomas DeCurtis of Woodlyn, PA, and a longtime resident of Parkside, PA for over 50 years, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, his 75th birthday, at Riddle Memorial Hospital with his son by his side.

Born on February 28, 1951, Leonard was the beloved son of Albert DeCurtis and Anne (Pinto) DeCurtis, and was preceded in death by both his parents and his twin brother, Albert DeCurtis (August 2025). He is survived by his devoted sister, Joanne DiCarlo, widow of John DiCarlo, whom
he spoke to every day and who always looked out for him. Leonard was a proud and loving father to his son, Leonard Stephen DeCurtis (Dawn). While he cherished being a father, he was an even more devoted grandfather to his three grandchildren, Nicholas, Devon and Brendan DeCurtis. His grandchildren were the most important part of his life, and he loved each of them deeply and unconditionally, taking immense pride and joy in every moment they shared together.

He is also survived by his nephews John DiCarlo (Chelsea), Jeff DiCarlo (Rita), Dan deProphetis, and his great-nephews Timothy and Josh DiCarlo.

Leonard was well liked by all who knew him. He will be remembered as a funny and kind man whose warm personality and quick wit brought smiles to those around him. His sense of humor, generosity, and loving heart made a lasting impact on his family and friends. Above all, Leonard's greatest joy in life was his family. His legacy lives on through the love he gave so freely, especially to his son and grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
