Kathy Mattox

March 12th, 1959 - December 29th, 2023

Kathy L. Mattox, age 64, of Drexel Hill, PA, sadly passed away at Lankenau Medical Center on December 29th, 2023 after courageously battling years of medical complications. Kathy treasured moments with her family and friends and was always present when they needed her most. She was a strong-willed, wise, and compassionate woman. Kathy loved reading, baking, collecting pens and green was her favorite color. She also enjoyed taking trips to the Jersey Shore along with having tea with loved ones at the "Painted Tea Cup".

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jonathan Mattox; brothers: Dennis Shafer and Michael Shafer; along with an abundance of nieces, nephews, friends and the Mattox Family. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys Shafer; sisters: Sandra Gillespie and Debbie Woolaver; and brother: Ron Shafer.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering on Sunday March 10th anytime between 12pm-4pm at the Drexel Hill Fire Company Station 20 at 323 Edmonds Ave. Drexel Hill, PA 19026. In lieu of flowers, please bring a side dish of your choice for Kathy's potluck.

Kathy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May Kathy's memory live on through those she loved and cared for.
