Kathleen Anne Townsend died suddenly at the too early age of 59 on October 7th 2022.  Born and raised in Gradyville, PA.  Kathy was the last Townsend having been preceded in death by her father James Townsend, mother Christine Townsend, sister Beverly and brother Jimmy.

Kathy was a proud member of the Penncrest Graduating Class of 1981.  She worked for Acme Markets for over 25 years and ran the family business Surf and Sand in Ocean City, NJ., until her death.

Kathy loved spending time at the beach, her many pets and her heartbroken friends she left behind.  She had a huge personality that people loved or hated but she was herself no matter what and will be missed by all that knew her.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Chester County SPCA or Providence Animal Center.

Memorial services will be held at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home 15 E. 4th Street. Media, PA Saturday October 29th at 10am to 11 calling and service at 11.  Burial will be private.
