Kathleen Modesto  nee Clancy

age 62 years , of Glenolden, PA passed away February 22, 2022 in Taylor Hospital, Born and raised in Collingdale, PA.  She graduated Collingdale High School class of 1977.  Then  earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from Delaware County Community College.  Mrs. Modesto was the Director of Delco Child Daycare Center in Holmes, PA. She joyously worked with a staff (her friends) to educate, teach and help preschool children for 44 years.  Mrs. Modesto took great pride in working with her staff to earn special childcare certifications including NAEyc and Keystone Stars recognition.

Diesel was her loving fur baby and loyal companion. She would do anything to make his life and comfortable. He would get his own bowl of Ice cream from Rita's, enjoyed her meatballs and chicken nuggets with his dinner and had his own EAGLES jersey that made Kathy more happy and proud than Diesel himself.  Kathy was a dedicated Girl Scout leader for many troops over the years. She especially loved her time in scouting with her nieces.  The smile of any child brought joy to her heart.  Any beach, sunrise or sunset was a picture to her. Especially in Florida at St Pete's Beach and more recently Cape Coral FL.

Phila EAGLES and Phillies, The Ellen Show, Grey's Anatomy and of course Murder She Wrote were all enjoyed with her Mom and sisters.

She was the wife of the late Charles Modesto who passed away last year. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen O'Laughlin Clancy, sister of the late Joey Clancy (2018) and Martin Clancy ( 2006)

Survivors: Step son Christopher Modesto (Carol), 3 sisters Patty Clancy, Mary Clancy (Clarence Nichols) and Karen Scanlon (Bob Scanlon) and her brother Kevin Clancy (Diane Fahy) 21 nieces and nephews, along with over 3,000 children who's life she influenced as a wonderful daycare teacher and role model.

Service:  Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday March 5, 2022  1:00 PM - 2:15 PM at The Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home  15 E. Fourth St. Media, Pa.  Funeral service will follow  2:30 PM
