Obituary

Kathleen (Kass) deBidart, age 94, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Villa on February 26, 2026. Daughter of the late Helen (nee Hesson) and Herbert Lehman, Katheleen was born and raised in Philadelphia where she attended Little Flower High School and resided for the first 23 years of her life.

Kass married William Killeen and the two settled in Upper Darby where they began raising their growing family.  Upon Bill's untimely death after a brief nine years of marriage, Kass began her journey of raising three boys.  She found love again after meeting George A. deBidart and soon welcomed him and his four boys into their lives.  With the marriage to George the new blended family established their new home in Havertown.  Unfortunately, Kass again experienced the loss of her husband after ten short years of marriage.  Following the death of George, Kass moved to Lansdowne where she resided for 40 years.

Kass began her career working at Kirklyn Pharmacy where her talents caught the attention of a regional Hallmark Cards Manager.  She went on to serve as a manager for Alston's Hallmark stores for 20 years before beginning a second career in accounting at Fair Acres Nursing Home, where she worked for 15 years.

She was an active parishioner with Saint Philomena Catholic Church in Lansdowne.  An avid bowler, she played in multiple leagues at a time and traveled the country to participate in national bowling tournaments.  She always enjoyed visiting the casinos to spend time on the blackjack tables and slot machines.  Above all, her favorite activity was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kass is survived by her sons William Killeen (Jennifer) of Phoenixville, PA, Brian Killeen (Mary) of Lantana, FL, and Thomas Killeen (Patricia) of Media, PA, and her step-sons George deBidart (Carole) of Fort Worth, TX, Michael deBidart (Jean) of Enfield, CT, Christopher deBidart (Miriam) of Van Nuys, CA, and John deBidart (JoAnn) of Iron Mountain, MI.  She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7th at St. Philomena Catholic Church, 41 E. Baltimore Ave. Lansdowne, PA 19050.  There will be a calling in the church from 9:30 – 10:30 followed by mass at 10:30 am.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Avenue, Flourtown, PA 19031.
