Kathleen Brenz (née Donigan), 91 years, died peacefully at Little Flower Manor on July 30, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Brenz who preceded her in death in 2011. A devoted mother and loving sister, Kathleen will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Born to the late Leona and Michael Donigan, Kathleen spent her early childhood years in Mount Penn, a town outside of Reading, before moving to Upper Darby at age 8. She graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in Moylan in 1949 and immediately began working in an assembly position with Clifton Precision.  She married the love of her life, Richard, in 1951 and devoted herself to her family. She lovingly raised two boys and supported them in their activities serving as Cub Scout Pack Leader throughout the late 1960s.  Kathleen returned to work in 1976 when she took a position with Southco Inc. eventually retiring in 1991.

A lover of travel, Kathleen recently visited Arizona and had the pleasure of visiting Hawaii, Europe and Brazil with her husband.  In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, cross stitch and playing cards.

In addition to her husband, Kathleen was preceded in death in 2015 by her brother, Michael Donigan. She is survived by her sons Charles "Rick" Brenz (Donna) of E. Lansdowne, PA and Ronald E. Brenz (Betty) of Sonestown, PA. She is also survived by two sisters, Sister Anne Donigan R.S.M. of Merion, PA and Doris Agan of Columbus, OH.

A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held on Tuesday, August 8th, at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home.  There will be a visitation from 10-11 am and the service will begin at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
