Julie Marie Cummings, age 55, a longtime resident of Media, PA, passed away on March 10, 2024.  Born in San Antonio, TX to Barbara Hickey and the late William Hickey, Julie spent her formative years in Swarthmore, PA.  She was a graduate of Strath Haven High School and Widener University.

Julie worked as an administrator for Natural Lands Trust, and, as a Registered Behavioral Therapist, she served as an administrator with ABA2Day Behavior Services in Newtown Square. But, the job she valued the most was being a mother to her two boys, Evan and Max.  They were the center of Julie's world, and she enjoyed supporting them by volunteering with their various activities like the Media Elementary Harvest Fair and Media Little League.

She was a lover of art, cinematography and ballet. Always active, Julie particularly enjoyed playing tennis.  She was a wonderful cook and she found great inspiration through travel.  She also treasured quiet hours spent on the beach.

In addition to her sons, Evan and Max Cummings, Julie is survived by her husband, Gary Joseph Cummings, her mother, Barbara Hickey and her siblings, Bill Hickey (Karen Campo-Hickey) of Swarthmore and Patricia DiBartolomeo (Jean-Yves) of Swarthmore.

Julie's memorial service will be on March 20, 2024 at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA 19063.  There will be a visitation hour from 1-2 pm followed by a memorial service at 2 pm where friends will be invited to share memories.
