Joyce A. Eckerd, age 77, of Media, PA, passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2019.  Born in Chester, PA to the late Elanor (nee Burns) and Harry V. White, Jr., she was a lifetime resident of Media and a graduate of Media High School Class of 1960. Joyce was the beloved wife of Stephen Eckerd and mother of Scott and Jeff Eckerd.  She created a loving home for her family on Summer Street.  Joyce was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  She was an avid reader, loved the seashore, and treasured time spent with her family.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 56 years, Stephen K. Eckerd; her sons Scott Eckerd (Marie) of West Chester, PA and Jeff Eckerd (Trish) of Prospect Park, PA; and four grandchildren Kelly, Ian, Kate and Victoria.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
