Joseph Matthew Pearson, age 59, a longtime resident of Media and more recently of Prospect Park, died on February 5, 2024. The beloved son of the late Joseph and Anne (nee McDonnell) Pearson, Joseph was born and raised in Media where he spent most of his life.

Joey graduated from Penncrest High School in 1983 and worked as a guard at George W. Hill Correctional Facility.  He was an active member of Image Dei Community Church. Joey collected model trains and enjoyed time spent on the Chesapeake Bay where he'd admire the ships, the eagles and the sunsets.

Joseph is survived by his siblings, Sally LaFrance of Crum Lynne, Beverly Kilpatrick of Media, Alice Pearson of Media, Fred Pearson of Media, Francy Cross of Middletown Twp., and Tom Pearson of Glenn Mills along with his friend Ron Cropper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association .

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on March 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at his church, Image Dei (St. Timothy's) 535 Lamp Post Lane, Aston, PA 19014.  Burial to be private.
