Joseph
Fuscaldo
d. Jan 4, 2026
Joseph Fuscaldo, age 79, a resident of Newtown Square, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Mary Anne (née Kirkpatrick), with whom he shared 38 years wonderful years of marriage.
Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Joe was the only child of Constantino "Dan" and Yolanda (née Pantalone) Fuscaldo. He was a graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic High School for Boys and St. Joseph's University, Class of 1968, where he studied accounting. Joe served in the Army Reserves while beginning his career as an accountant with Burlington Industries. He then moved to H&R Block where he enjoyed a lengthy career of 25 years, rising to a District Manager position. There he met the love of his life, Mary Anne.
While he took his responsibilities seriously, he never lost his sense of humor and believed strongly in treating people with kindness and fairness. Everyone who knew Joe thought of him as a real gentleman. Joe had many talents that included writing fiction, photography, and drawing which he humbly kept to himself and shared only with immediate family.
Joe was a former resident of Ridley Park and Media before settling in Newtown Square more than 12 years ago. They were parishioners of St. Mary Magdalen Church.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; cousins Joseph Colombaro and Steven Miller; his two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many lifelong friends who will miss his humor, loyalty, and friendship.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 31,2026 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd. Media, PA 19063. Friends and family may call in the church from 9:30-10:45. Mass will begin at 11 a.m. He will be buried in Florida at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor his memory through a charitable donation or living tribute.
