John Edward Murphy Jr., age 77, a 24 year resident of Folsom, PA, died at Paoli Hospital on August 16, 2022.  He was the beloved life partner of Linda Cunningham (Schneck).  Born and raised in West Philadelphia, John was a graduate of Bartram High School.  He worked as a truck driver for Origlio for 40 years and was a self-employed handy man for almost a decade.  A proud veteran, John was a former Marine based in Guam.

John will be deeply missed by his family.  He adored spending time with them and was the best father and life partner.  John enjoyed Nascar, country music, and line dancing.  He was a huge fan of the Phillies and Eagles.  John was a foodie and was famous for taking joy rides around town on his scooter.

John is survived by Linda, his life partner of 28 years; his son Michael Murphy (Cindy) of Fairless Hills, PA; step-daughters Terri Lane (Steve) of Media and Christina Cunningham (John) of Collingdale; along with two grandchildren Stephen Lane III and Brent Lane.  He was the brother of the late Robert Murphy (Roseanne) and Carol McDowell (the late George), uncle of Lori Squarcetta (Anthony), George McDowell (Valerie), Robert Murphy, and Jake Murphy; and great uncle to Aiden & Carter.

John's memorial service will be September 3, 2022 at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home. 15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA 19063. There will be a calling from 10-11 am.  The service will begin at 11 am.  Friends and family are welcomed and encouraged to share a story or memory at the service.
