John J. Kirk, 82, of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2026. Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, John was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School, Class of 1962. Following graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Army for three years.

John was the beloved husband of Diane (née Crews) Kirk and a devoted father to Kelly (Andrew) Pennoni, Kristin (Sam) DiGregorio, and Amy M. Taylor. He was a cherished "Pop" to seven adored grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Hickey and Jeanne Bay. John was predeceased by his brothers, Tom and Larry Kirk, and by his parents, John and Regina Kirk.

A resident of Drexel Hill for more than four decades, John built a successful career in sales. He spent several years traveling extensively for Revere Copper & Brass while earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Joseph's University in 1974. He later joined The Lockhart Company, where he became a highly respected Sales Manager. True to his outgoing nature, John much preferred being on the road meeting clients and building lasting relationships than sitting behind a desk. When Ryerson acquired Lockhart, he remained in his role and continued serving clients with the same passion and dedication until his retirement in 2008.

Although he enjoyed soccer in his younger years and played tennis throughout much of his life, golf ultimately became John's greatest passion. As a longtime member of Llanerch Country Club, he found both friendship and enjoyment on the course. When Diane took up the game, they shared countless rounds together and created many treasured memories during golf vacations to renowned destinations, including St. Andrews and Pebble Beach, as well as with the friends they made while playing at Paxon Hollow and Springfield Country Clubs.

John will be remembered for his warm personality, strong work ethic, love of family, and ability to connect with people wherever he went. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, friendship, and countless cherished memories.

Visitation will take place Thursday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Service of Remembrance at 12:00 noon at Toppitzer Funeral Home. 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA

inurnment in the Monticello Mausoleum will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to Saint Joseph's University.
