John Peter Killoran, Sr., age 83, a longtime resident of Newtown Square, died on February 4, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of Margaret Killoran (nee Donegan).

Born in Philadelphia to Catherine (nee McGarry) and Lawrence Killoran, John attended Transfiguration School and West Catholic High School.  He served in the Army Reserves and became a union electrician with IBEW Local 98.  John and his wife, Margaret, settled in Newtown Square where they raised their three children.  A man of deep faith, John served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Mary Magdalen Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  While his children were growing up, he volunteered as a little league coach at Marple Newtown and served as a Cub Scout master.  John had a love for gardening, reading and sports.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Margaret; children Kathleen Touhill (John) of Chester Heights, John Killoran, Jr. of Megeve, France, and Patrick Killoran (Sara Nadal Melsió) of New York City, NY; and grandchildren Ashley Englebrake, Katie Touhill, Meghan Touhill, Sean Killoran, and Michele Killoran.  He is also survived by great-grandchildren Laura Berry, Colton Englebrake and Roselynn Englebrake and his siblings Lawrence Killoran of Newtown Sq., Charles Killoran of Newtown Sq., Sister Mary Killoran of Wilmington, DE, and Catherine Miller Salisbury, MD.

John's Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd. Media, PA 19063 on Tuesday, March 1st.  Friends and family call from 10-10:30.  Mass will begin at 10:30 am.
