Obituary

John Henry Graff, 72 years, of Norwood, PA , passed away on September 1, 2024. Mr. Graff lived his formative years in Leedom Estates before residing in Folcroft, Glenolden and Norwood where he lived with his longtime partner, Joan Winter, for the last 24 years.  He graduated Ridley High School class of 1970.  He worked as a maintenance technician for several companies including Media Real Estate Co., Metro Pontiac, Potamkin Automotive, Glenolden Court Apartments along with several other local concerns.

John was a lover of the outdoors. He partook in civil war reenactments with North-South Skermish. John hunted for over 15 years as a member at the hunting cabin in Julian, PA and shared his love of hunting with his brother, uncles and eventually his son. He visited many campgrounds over the years with his brothers and sisters-in-law along with his nieces and nephew. When his children were young, he enjoyed taking them to fly kites and taking them tubing hitched to his bright blue boat. John was a collector of comic books and Zippo lighters. He would fasten handmade rope key chains to them and would make custom lighters for family and friends.  John loved Harley Davidsons and old cars.  He was very handy and jumped at the chance to help anyone.

He loved spending time with his family and had special memories of Christmas Eve with his children and grandchildren. He and Joan enjoyed Trivia Night and they doted on their two doodles. They especially enjoyed showing them off at Doodles in Dewey, Delaware, an event benefiting PAWS.

Survivors include his long time partner of 24 years Joan Winter, 3 children Amber M. Eder, Sean D. Graff and Matthew E. Graff (Nicole); and 4 grandchildren Olivia, Chloe, Logan and Remy.

John's services will be on September 25, 2024 at Church of Christ (1530 4th Ave. Folsom, PA 19033).  There will be a visitation from 10am-12pm with the service beginning at 12 pm and a luncheon immediately following at the church.
