John K. Gosselin, age 69, a longtime resident of Glen Mills and more recently of Chadds Ford, died at home on December 25, 2023.  He was a proud father and a devoted son, brother, and friend.

One of six children born to Irene and the late Kenneth Gosselin, John was raised in Aston, PA.  He graduated from Sun Valley High School (Class of 1972) where he excelled in many sports, particularly football. John made the All Delco Team in 1971 and was ultimately inducted into Sun Valley's Hall of Fame. He continued his academic and athletic career at Widener University (Class of 1976) where he studied Accounting. At Widener, John made the All Conference Team for Football and Lacrosse and won additional awards for his strengths in football. In 2008, he was inducted into Delaware County's Hall of Fame as a multi-sport athlete. His love and support for all levels of football - high school, college and professional - continued throughout the rest of his life.

John obtained his Master's Degree in Accounting from Drexel University LeBow College of Business. He enjoyed a long career as a CPA and happily served as an accountant for his friends and family.  As a proud member of Middletown Presbyterian Church for nearly 40 years, John often volunteered to help with church finances. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Rachel, and he treasured time spent with his mom, siblings, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.

John was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth F. Gosselin. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Hodges of Chadds Ford, and his mother, Irene L. Gosselin. He is also survived by his siblings Karen Lynn (Fred), David Gosselin (Marianne), Judith Curran (Brian), Barbara Downs (Bill) and Janet Brentzel.

Friends and family are invited to John's funeral services at Middletown Presbyterian Church on Thursday, January 11, 2024. There will be a calling from 10 – 11 am followed by the service at 11 am.  Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Middletown Presbyterian Church , 273 S. Old Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063.
