John Stephan Duffy, age 70, a longtime resident of Tucson, AZ and formerly of Lansdowne, PA died on July 22, 2024 in Arizona.  One of three boys born to the late John and Thelma (nee Katsaros) Duffy, John graduated from Lansdowne-Aldan High School in 1972. A real hometown guy, John continued living in his beloved Lansdowne until an accident prompted his move to Tucson.  While still in Pennsylvania, John attended Delaware County Community College and worked for almost a decade with Bell Telephone. He was the first male phone operator in the state of PA and he later worked as a computer operator. In Tucson, John volunteered with CHAP (Community Head Injury Awareness Program) helping fellow patients with head trauma.

John was a lover of music, especially classic rock, and was a devoted Phillies fan. He felt blessed to see the sun rise every morning. With a deep love for the Lord, John always maintained a positive attitude and was quick to lend a helping hand.  He made friends easily and could charm anyone into doing anything he wanted, always with a smile on his face.

John is survived by his brothers Stephan D. Duffy of Vineland, NJ and David M. Duffy of Absecon, NJ along with two nieces Sierra Duffy & Kaylyn Duffy and one nephew David M. Duffy, Jr.

John's memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, August 23rd at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home. Visitation at 11 am with the service to follow at 12 pm.
