Joanne Elizabeth Scott, age 42, passed away at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital on November 2, 2022.  Beloved mother and daughter, Joanne was born and raised in Darby and was a longtime resident of Collingdale.

Joanne attended Park Lane Elementary and graduated with the Class of 1998 from Penn Wood High School.  As a child she enjoyed camping at Duck Neck Campgrounds with her friends, cousins and grandparents.  She worked in the medical field as a CNA at Fair Acres and recently as a Home Health Aide with Granny's Helping Hands.

Joanne was a dedicated mother to her son, Carter.  She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake her Mommom's Pineapple Upside Down Cake.  She enjoyed the simple things in life like a quick trip to the shore, going to Booth's Corner, and a nice lunch at the Erin Pub.

Joanne is survived by her mother, Barbara Scott; her son, Carter Rommel Broomes; and her brother, Richard Reiss.

Her memorial service will be held at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home on Friday, November 11, 2022. There will be a visitation from 10-11 am. The service will begin at 11 am.
